Important Updates from Friendship Animal Hospital Concerning COVID-19 (updated 5/25/2020)

To our valued clients:

Friendship Animal Hospital would like to assure you that the health and safety of our team members, pet owners and community members is and has always been a top priority. As COVID-19 continues to have a great impact on the US and communities surrounding us, we would like to inform you of some changes we are making in an effort to be more accommodating and proactive:

  • Concierge Service ONLY!! - We are still open to aid your fur-babies during this difficult and confusing time. However, you will not be able to enter the hospital, but we are still open and will come out to your vehicle. This applies to all appointments, surgeries, drop off appointments, and any boarding drop offs. Clients will need to call Friendship Animal Hospital once they arrive, be checked in over the phone, and their pet will be brought inside by a FAH staff member. All discussions with the veterinarian & payments will take place via phone. We ask that clients remain in their vehicles at all times, so as to limit person-to-person contact. We have also instructed our employees to maintain the recommended safe, 6 foot distance from pet owners as best they can. Please don’t be offended when they ask you to remain in your vehicle or step back from your window to talk to you. For more info, give us a call – 704-889-7387 (PETS)
  • Why are we still social distancing?? - Like many local businesses, Friendship Animal Hospital employs a small staff.  We are, quite simply, unable to withstand an outbreak of illness amongst our employees and still stay open to serve our furry friends and their families.  You rely on us to be there when your four-legged loved ones need emergency care and routine vaccinations.  That's why we are still wearing masks and doing our check-ins at the curb, we want to continue to be there for you.  We can only stay strong if we work together.  And by working together, we can keep your fur-babies and our staff healthy.
  • You may be experiencing longer than normal waiting times or limited availability as we allow our staff to also remain home if they are feeling unwell or to tend to children that are now out of schools. If we have limited staff here when we are open, we ask for extra patience as we try to perform the same high-quality medicine with fewer employees.

We want to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as best we can. We also ask for your cooperation: please do not come in for an appointment or stop by to pick up medication or food if you are feeling unwell.

Thank you,

Dr. Panuska and Staff at Friendship Animal Hospital
